What is a Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®)?

To earn the CRC® certification and the right to use the marks, Candidates are required to pass a comprehensive 200 question, multiple-choice exam and have two years of experience with a college degree (five years of experience required with a high school diploma or equivalent). Optional print and online exam preparation resources are available to help Candidates prepare for the exam. Earn the CRC® to Show You're a Retirement Planning Specialist

Completion of the CRC® retirement counseling certification can also help fulfill CFP® continuing education (CE) requirements. If you are a Certified Financial Planning® professional, CRC® study guides 2 and 3 are approved for 5 hours each of CFP® financial planning continuing education credit.
